Recently I had a work day at my house, this means that anyone of the kids who wanted to work for money could come. Needless to say all of them came and worked hard. They where aloud to spend their money on whatever they wanted, alot of them are saving up for bigger things. It is neat to see.

I have a announcement: Little Mary and her brother, Joseph were relocated to live with family members in Dar es Salaam. We had no idea that there was living family that were searching for these children. In our attempts to locate any living family we connected with people who connected with people and one day thier uncle showed up with tears in his eyes. So they are now happily living with family in the main city Dar about 7 hours from us. I will go to visit them both in January. We called them and they are soooooooo happy.

This is what a typical area of town that you would find street kids begging for money. Now adays there arent many street children at all. In Moshi there are now several centers that help to reach these kids, we need to continue to pray for centers to open in other major city where kids still live on the streets.

Usually i try to take one child for day to spend time one on one. This is really nessercery for the kids that we have,they need that special one on one time. This is Imkea from Holland, she is here for one month to be with the kids and the work we are doing here. We are going to miss here and Ingaborg alot.

Alot of the children can't read so we read to them and encourage them to get into books. They are all wanting very badly to learn to read.

The boys sit on the couch (not yet with cushions) and read their new books. We bought all the boys a new bible with pictures in it. They are soooo happy.

We let the kids draw freely now a days since we recieved the stacks and stacks of paper. A local ministry also gave the children pens and pencils so we are good to go. Soon i will be teaching the kids art in the weeknights, we recieved tons of art supplies as well.

The chase is on, all the children herd the cows, to me this looked like a innocent thing. In fact i was impressed that they all knew how. Then one cow freaked and started charging the kids, My motherly instinc kicked in and i began to scream. Noooooooooooooo. Running as fast I could, at that moment one of the men jumped in the middle and handled the cow. She darted in another direction. So we yelled "into the house". All 17 of them now, full force darting into the house, with me among them.

John is lifting himself up. If you know John, he is one of those guys who doesnt like his picture taken, but when he is in the modd, it is "all about JOHN". We take advantage of that, because it isnt often we get photos of him. We try to respect the privacy of the kids who are sensitive in that way. It took awhile for many to trust us, I am determined to not let it go to easily. So if you don't see a photo of certain ones that often, it is because they get photo sensitive.

The boys are posing on their bed. I should mention that this is one of the coolest things we can provide when the boys first arrive. It is sorta like the first time they have a place of their wn to sleep. It is safe and warm. Some of our kids slept on cement store fronts and under fruit market stands in the village markets. Now they sleep on beds with great blankets. (We are hoping to be able to buy pillows soon, we have enough for the girls room but need money for the boys rooms)
